The Ascension into Heaven of our Lord Jesus Christ. The disciples had just spent 40 days with the Lord after his resurrection. He gave instructions and taught them things concerning the Kingdom of God. One the day He ascended into Heaven (so the Holy Spirit would come), Jesus instructed His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they were baptized with the Holy Spirit. The disciples obeyed (but some doubted). Let us pray & not doubt!

NINETY DAYS OF BLESSING
As in the first Pentecost, transformed Christians transform their communities as they offer themselves to God as instruments through which their prayers can be answered.

In Lakeland: We are forming or furthering local alliances among pastors, churches, ministries and business leaders, to bring practical, transformational blessing to our communities. For ninety days, we encourage you to link arms with local charities to bless the people of Lakeland.

24/7 CONSTANT PRAYER

Efforts are being made to partner with existing Houses of Prayer and Monasteries to create a climate of prayer throughout the Lakeland area.

Uniting in repentance and prayer for the awakening of the church and the transformation of the city. Glory to Jesus Christ!
This effort is centered on the theme and purposes of 2 Chronicles 7:14-16
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there."

NPOP

The Lakeland Prayer Network
Calling Christians from all races, cultures and traditions in the Lakeland area to unite in repentance and prayer and work together as God's servants for the blessing and healing of our city - specifically the children and families in every neighborhood.

The Lakeland House of Prayer is a dream, a vision, a calling - following in the footsteps of those from prior generations - heeding the call to withdraw from the hustle of the rat race and stress in our day, and return to our Source - the fount of every blessing and the giver of life so that by humbling ourselves and calling out on His Name, the Lord Jesus Christ will be glorified in our midst. Our lives, our families, our neighborhoods will be transformed from darkness to light. The end result will be Christians living their faith with vitality, domestic violence, divorce, abuse, unemployment and crime rates will 'inexplicaby' drop!
